Benefiting from the much less urban setting of Saratoga Springs, the spacious and woodsy layout of Skidmore's 850 acres lends the campus a decidedly warm-and-fuzzy feeling. This liberal arts college is mostly dominated by business majors, but also has its fair share of English, science and humanities majors -- all of whom take advantage of Saratoga's countless options for student entertainment.
HISTORY: Originally founded in 1911 as a women's college, Skidmore opened up the doors for men in 1971. Though many see it as a party school, Skidmore has always held a high regard for academics.
